Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU),

in collaboration with Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education,

is pleased to announce the pre-selection of applicants for the Harvard Summer School 2025 program!

 

 

 

  • Founded in 1871, Harvard Summer School (HSS) is the oldest academic summer program in the United States.
  • Courses taught by Harvard faculty distinguished visiting scholars and industry experts.
  • Partnership benefits: exclusive networking opportunities, dedicated course enrollment and student visa application support, and other student benefits during and after studies.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

Active TSU students from all three levels of study are eligible to apply if they meet the following administrative and financial requirements:

 

Academic Performance:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.2 in the current level of study as of the fall semester of the 2024-25 academic year.
  • for those who are not in their graduation semester in the spring semester of 2025

Applicants wishing to apply for the partial funding from TSU:

  • Should not be spending the Spring 2025 semester abroad through the mobility programs administered by TSU
  • Should not be in their graduating semester in Spring 2025

English Language Proficiency:

  • Applicants must provide proof of English proficiency with one of the following certificates (issued no earlier than January 1, 2023):
  • TOEFL iBT (including Home Edition): Minimum score of 100.
  • IELTS Academic (including Academic Online Test): Minimum score of 7.0.
  • PTE Academic (PTEA): Minimum score of 70.
  • Duolingo English Test (DET): Minimum score of 125.

 

Disciplinary Record:

  • No history of disciplinary offenses during studies at TSU.
  • Agreement to abide by the Harvard Student Code of Conduct (available here).

 

Course Prerequisites:

  • Meet all academic prerequisites for the selected courses within the Harvard Summer School, if applicable.

 

Financial Readiness:

  • Demonstrate sufficient financial resources or have a sponsor or sponsors to cover expenses related to the participation in the program, including but not limited to expenses like:
  1. Visa and travel to the USA.
  2. Program fee.
  3. Accommodation expenses.
  4. Living expenses.
  5. Study materials.
  6. Health insurance and other associated costs.

Note: Tuition, as well as room & board if applicable, must be paid in full by May 12, 2025.
