A memorandum aimed at supporting the employment of students and graduates of vocational educational programs at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) has been signed by TSU Rector Jaba Samushia and the Executive Director of the Employment Agency HR, Giorgi Kiknadze. The event was attended by the Head of the TSU Vocational Education Center, Kakhaber Cheishvili, the Head of the TSU Student Services and Career Development Center, Giorgi Grigolashvili, and invited guests.
"The memorandum signed with the employment agency is of great importance, as the university not only provides education but also ensures that students can find jobs matching their qualifications. Future activities have been planned with the agency to address this issue," said TSU Rector Jaba Samushia.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the Employment Agency HR will offer student job vacancies to TSU students. Additionally, the agency will assist students and graduates of the Vocational Education Center with resume and application form preparation, as well as with placing their information in an employment database accessible to over 30,000 employers.
"As a TSU graduate, it is a great honor for me to sign the agreement with the university to maximize support for student employment and strengthen the platform where students can access job-related information," noted Giorgi Kiknadze, Executive Director of the employment agency HR.
Under the cooperation outlined in the memorandum, TSU and the Employment Agency will also organize joint events, meetings, training sessions, and job fairs.
According to Kakhaber Cheishvili, Head of the TSU Vocational Education Center, "Signing this memorandum is a significant step towards the employment of TSU Vocational Education Center students, enabling them to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired at the university in practice."
TSU has been offering vocational educational programs since 2007. Since 2019, the administration of these programs has been managed by the TSU Center of Vocational Education.
All vocational programs at TSU are fully funded by the state.
