The vocational program in "Preschool Education," implemented by the TSU Center of Vocational Education (Kutaisi), has provided numerous professional staff members to kindergartens across western Georgia. The program has been running for years, preparing dozens of educators annually.
According to the head of the program, Nino Mamrikishvili, students have the opportunity to develop practical skills alongside their theoretical knowledge. "Over the years, our students not only gain theoretical knowledge but also refine their practical skills. That is why we are here at Kutaisi Kindergarten No. 12. Students are actively engaged in various activities. This is not a one-time visit; we have several similar visits planned throughout the academic year, which is crucial for their future employment," she stated.
During their visit, students participated in planning and implementing various activities and educational processes, working with different age groups. Luna Jgarkava, a student of the TSU Vocational Education Center, noted that such visits are highly valuable, as the experience gained will make it easier for them to work with children in the future and contribute to their employment opportunities.
For Ana Noselidze, head of the Kutaisi Kindergarten #12 and a vocational instructor, collaboration with the TSU Vocational Education Center is particularly meaningful. On the one hand, it provides an excellent opportunity for students, and on the other hand, it helps preschools recruit promising professionals. "We have been collaborating with the TSU Center of Vocational Education for several years, and this partnership has been highly productive. Student interest is significant, and during these practical visits, we provide them with valuable experience and the chance to develop professional skills. Accordingly, over the past few years, we have hired several graduates from this program at our kindergarten." Noselidze stated.
