The project “Let’s Learn, Make Friends, and Discover Georgia – Extracurricular Activities for a Sustainable Future” of the Vocational Education Center at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University has been successfully completed.
Throughout the project, vocational students had the opportunity to participate in educational and cognitive activities. The intellectual marathon, hosted by members of Georgia’s “What? Where? When?” Intellect Club, Irakli Veshaguridze and Valeri Mindeli, involved 11 student teams — 6 from Tbilisi and 5 from Kutaisi locations. The final stage was held in Kutaisi, where the victory was claimed by “Front”, a team of students from the vocational program “Front-End Development” (Tbilisi). Members of the winning team received special prizes.
As part of the project, public lecture-discussions were also held for students.
The concluding event of the project was an educational lecture-excursion to Shida Kartli, where vocational students visited unique historical monuments. The purpose of the visits to Ateni Sioni, Samtsevrisi Fortress-Hall, and Kintsvisi Monastery was to explore and promote Georgia’s ethnic and religious diversity, as well as its medieval cultural heritage. The students had the chance to discover unique aspects of Georgian culture and the distinctive features of these historical monuments.
All participants of the project received branded items from TSU’s Vocational Education Center as gifts.
The project “Let’s Learn, Make Friends, and Discover Georgia – Extracurricular Activities for a Sustainable Future”, implemented with the funding of the Vocational Skills Agency, comprised several activities aimed at deepening vocational students’ professional knowledge through participation in extracurricular activities and educational-cultural events.
