Based on Article 51 (1), Article 52 (1), (2), and (3), Article 53 (3), Article 54 (1), Article 55, Article 56 (2) and (3), Article 57, Article 104, and Article 106 of the General Administrative Code of Georgia; Subparagraph “d” of Paragraph 1, Article 21 of the Law of Georgia on Higher Education; Subparagraph “d” of Paragraph 1, Article 8, and Paragraph 2, Article 14 of the Charter of the Legal Entity of Public Law – Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, approved by Order No. 135/N of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia on 11 September 2013; Subparagraph “v” of Paragraph 1, Article 5 of the Rules of Procedure of the Academic Council approved by Resolution No. 73/2014 of the Academic Council dated 14 July 2014; the letter No. 23330/10-02 of the Election Commission established for the technical organization of the Rector’s election dated 27 December 2022; and the minutes of Meeting No. 23 of the University Academic Council dated 27 December 2022,

The Academic Council Resolves:

1. Professor Jaba Samushia is elected as the Rector of the Legal Entity of Public Law – Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

2. The University Chancellery is instructed to place this resolution in a publicly accessible location.

3. This resolution may be appealed by an interested party in accordance with the procedure established by law within one month from the date of its entry into force, at the Administrative Affairs Panel of the Tbilisi City Court (Address: No. 64, David Agmashenebeli Alley, Tbilisi).

4. This resolution shall enter into force upon its publication.
