TSU, Maria Curie-Skłodowska University Launch Academic Cooperation

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the Faculty of Law and Administration at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS)'s Institute of Legal Sciences. The Memorandum was signed by Irakli Burduli, TSU professor and head of the National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution; UMCS Vice Rector. Dr. Arkadiusz Bereza; Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration, Dr. hab. Jarosław Kostrubiec, and Director of the Institute of Legal Sciences prof. dr hab. Marek Kulik.

 

The memorandum envisages a large-scale and multifaceted partnership including student and academic staff exchange programs, joint implementation of research projects, organization of international conferences and academic publications, as well as launching of innovative educational initiatives.

 

Special attention will be paid to the cooperation between the mediation centers of the two universities. This cooperation aims to develop alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and improve the quality of research and education in this area.

 

The Memorandum lays the foundation for a sustainable network of interregional academic cooperation that unites university spaces in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and the European Union. The network will serve as an important platform for exchanging knowledge, sharing experiences, strengthening research skills, and integrating young scientists into the international scientific community.
