The international scientific conference entitled “Tendencies of World Economic Development in the New Geopolitical Reality: Georgia’s Place and Challenges” was organized by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the Paata Gugushvili Institute of Economics of TSU.
The event marked the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Paata Gugushvili Institute of Economics. In addition to Tbilisi State University, scientists and researchers representing other higher education institutions in Georgia participated in the event. The conference commenced with greetings from Professor Ramaz Abesadze, Director of the Institute of Economics, and Academician Roin Metreveli, President of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences.
The following sections were represented at the conference: economic theory and business problem research, macroeconomics, sustainable development, finance and banking, sectoral and regional economy, international economic relations and globalization, demography, sociology, and labor economics.
