Beka Shavliashvili and Nana Kokochashvili, students of the French philology department of the Faculty of Humanities at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, are on an official visit to Montreal (Canada) as young parliamentarians.
TSU students, together with the members of the permanent delegation of the Parliament of Georgia, are representing Georgia at the 49th Annual Session of the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie (APF), which commenced on July 8. The session will be attended by the Speakers of Parliament of 13 countries and 350 delegates from a variety of regions worldwide.
The general debate of the plenary session will address the topic of “Artificial Intelligence and Parliamentarism.” It is worthy of note that two young Georgians are participating in the activities of the Youth Parliament of the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie (APF) for the first time this year. TSU student Beka Shavliashvili notes that participation in the Assemblée parlementaire de la Francophonie offers the opportunity to engage in a range of activities, establish connections with francophone students from numerous universities across the globe, and exchange ideas.
