Presentation of Collection - Georgian Turkology Studies II

A presentation of the trilingual (Georgian, Turkish, English) collection of works, Georgian Turkology Studies II, was held at Tbilisi State University (TSU). The editors are Elisabed Bzhalava, head of TSU’s Turkology bachelor’s and master’s programs, associate professor, and doctor of philology; and Salih Uçak, doctor of philology and associate professor. The collection includes works by 13 Georgian and foreign authors. The authors were granted academic freedom in choosing the language of their articles. Each article is accompanied by a short summary and keywords in the other two languages.

The collection aims to introduce the general public to Georgian Turkology, a field with an almost century-long history, and to the Turkologists who have contributed greatly to Georgian-Turkish cultural and educational relations. Together with other modern researchers working in the field, it aims to present the potential of Georgia and popularize ongoing Turkological research. Unlike the first collection, this one includes scientific translations of significant works by renowned Turkologists such as Lia Chlaidze, Nodar Janashia, and Irine Gotsiridze. Notably, the translations were performed by master's and doctoral students in the Department of Turkology at Tbilisi State University.

The electronic format of the collection meets modern standards and reader demands by reaching a wide audience and providing easy accessibility.
