This year, the Breakthrough Prize in Fundamental Physics, one of the most prestigious international awards for breakthroughs in fundamental physics, was awarded to 24 Georgian scientists, 21 of whom are Tbilisi State University graduates.
Eight of the physicists are employees of the Nodar Amaglobeli Institute of High Energy Physics at Tbilisi State University: Irakli Minashvili, Vakhtang Kartvelishvili, Edisher Tskhadadze, Givi Sekhniaidze, Archil Durglishvili, Maia Mosidze, Tamar Zakareishvili, and Tamar Jobava.
This success once again emphasizes the contribution of TSU scientists to understanding of the world. We congratulate our colleagues and are proud of their achievements!
