On February 10, the Faculty of Humanities of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) organized a scientific conference dedicated to the university, TSU -108.
The conference was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Professor Darejan Tvaltvadze.
The conference featured presentations such as “De-Sovietization of Academic Space in Georgia: The History of the Naming of Tbilisi State University after Ivane Javakhishvili,” “The Relationship Between the Ontological and the Aesthetic in the Philosophy of Friedrich Wilhelm Joseph Schelling,” “The Establishment of Tbilisi University and the Issue of Teaching Abkhazian and Ossetian Languages,” “Resolution of the Extraordinary Session of the TSU Professors’ Council (February 16, 1921),” The Metaphysics of the 'Invisible Hand' in Political Philosophy,” and more.
As part of the event, the Director of the Institute of Philosophy, Professor Demur Jalagonia, was awarded the Ivane Javakhishvili Medal for his long and fruitful work at Tbilisi State University.
