Within the framework of a working visit to the Republic of Turkey, the Rector of Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia visited Marmara University. The primary subjects addressed during the working meetings included the deepening of academic collaboration between the two universities, including the implementation of joint research projects, planning and implementation of exchange programs for students and academic staff. The potential for organizing joint international conferences and workshops was also discussed.
The parties involved expressed their desire to further strengthen their relations and to promote the development of quality education and science.
Marmara University is one of the oldest and leading higher education institutions in Turkey. Founded in 1883, it currently has 85,000 students and 3,500 faculty members.
