Jaba Samushia’s Public Lecture for Schoolchildren  

Academician Jaba Samushia, the Rector of Tbilisi State University, delivered a public lecture to schoolchildren on Queen Tamar’s era.

 

The event was organized by public school No. 133 to honor Queen Tamar’s commemoration day.

 

Rector Samushia discussed the political and public activities during Tamar’s reign, including the reforms she implemented, the wars she fought and her military strategies. He focused on Queen Tamar’s religious tolerance, social and economic policies, and her impact on world politics. The Rector also discussed Tamar’s death and the mystery surrounding her tomb.

 

At the end of the public lecture, Jaba Samushia answered questions from schoolchildren. He also introduced the history of Tbilisi State University and provided information about its educational programs, student life, and opportunities to study abroad.
