Goga Gugava became the winner of the student literary competition “Legend 2024.” He was awarded a cash prize of GEL 1,500 and a competition prize established by the university. The winner will become a member of the jury of the next competition in 2025. The second and third place winners of the competition, Dachi Lepsveridze and Leri Zivzivadze, respectively, received GEL 1,000 and GEL 700.
“Legend” is a literary competition at Tbilisi State University, which was established in 2009 and has been held every year since then.
The competition is open to students of all Georgian higher educational institutions at all three levels of education.
The jury for this year’s competition included Georgian writers Dato Turashvili, Maka Ldokonen, Teona Dolenjashvili, Giorgi Lobzhanidze, and the winner of the 20223 competition, Tornike Lelashvili.
“Legend” is intended for those who create prosaic works, seek to acquire literary experience, establish contacts with prominent figures in the field, and present their literary creations to the Georgian audience.
