The international conference entitled “Philosophy and Modernity” was held at Tbilisi State University. The event was organized by the Institute of Philosophy of the Faculty of Humanities of TSU.
The conference has been held annually since 2002 within the framework of World Philosophy Day. The current conference is dedicated to the 126th anniversary of the birth of Konstantine (Kote) Bakradze, Professor of Tbilisi State University, Head of the Department of History of Philosophy, Academician of the Georgian Academy of Sciences, and an esteemed figure in the field of science. The presentation of the annual bilingual magazine, the Philosophical-Theological Reviewer, issue number 14, was held as part of the event. The participants of the event were greeted by Professor Darejan Tvaltvadze, the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, and Demur Jalaghonia, the Director of the Institute of Philosophy of TSU, who also represented the conference organizing committee.
In addition to the representatives of Tbilisi State University, scientists from Germany, Latvia and Kazakhstan participated in the event. The conference is scheduled to conclude on November 15.
