International Scientific Conference “Current Problems of Geophysics”

 

The Mikheil Nodia Institute of Geophysics organized the international conference “Current Problems of Geophysics”, which took place at Tbilisi State University.

The event, which was held in a hybrid format, discussed important areas of geophysics, including seismic exploration tasks, geodynamic risks, modeling of ecological processes, hydrogeophysical and geothermal studies, and the study of cosmic ray variations.

Participants included researchers and international experts from leading institutions around the world: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Italy, and Slovenia, as well as various universities and research institutes in Georgia.

According to the event organizers, these important meetings help develop and strengthen Georgia's science, technology, and innovation system.

“I am confident that these meetings will contribute to our country’s economic growth and development through comprehensive geophysical research and the advancement of science, technology, and innovation system in Georgia,” said Nino Gvenetadze, the deputy rector of TSU.
