Job Summary

The Conversational Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing conversational interfaces for chatbots. The primary responsibility is to create engaging and natural conversations that enhance user experience and enable effective communication between users and machines. Conversational Designers work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and UX designers, to develop conversation flows, create personas, write dialogue scripts, and design user interfaces. Responsibilities also include staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in conversation design and identifying opportunities for innovation. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our conversational experiences are aligned with our brand voice and tone.

Requirements

  • User-Centered Design: Conversational designers should be able to understand user needs and design conversational experiences that meet those needs. The ability to conduct user research, create user personas, and design user journeys.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with tools and chatbot-building platforms is desired. A basic understanding of programming languages and machine learning concepts can also be helpful but not essential.
  • Creativity: Conversational designers need to be creative thinkers who can create unique solutions to design challenges. They should be able to brainstorm and prototype different ideas quickly and efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders and team members is essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary to convey ideas, collaborate on projects, and present designs to stakeholders.
  • Attend daily team meetings and project-related necessary focus group discussions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and create Sales AI conversation flows, which include dialogues, prompts, responses, Call-to-Actions, follow-ups, etc.
  • Develop the tone and style of the AI conversation.
  • Write verbiage, including the questions and responses AI will send the user.
  • Conduct testing processes to ensure the AI provides proper user experience.
  • Check, review, edit, and implement different custom client requests.
  • Prepare detailed documentation with pre-defined logic and conversation design scenarios for the logic specialists or the development team members.
  • Prepare/add answers for new customers during the onboarding process.
  • Prepare mock-ups for various AI conversation flows.
  • Monitor real AI conversation flows for further product development and improvement. Also, conduct post-launch monitoring for any new product implementation or improvement.
  • Investigate and fix the escalated issues/bugs from different teams (CS, QA, etc.)
