The 9th Scientific Conference on Scientific Terminology took place at Tbilisi State University and brought together scientists, researchers, and representatives of institutions to discuss the development of Georgian scientific terminology.
The conference featured reports on current terminology topics. Among them were: The importance of sectoral dictionaries in creating a term bank; terminology issues in physics; digital slang and terminological diffusion in modern Georgian discourse; materials for the new edition of technical terminology; and several Georgian terms in the aerospace field.
The conference was attended by: Nana Machavariani, head of the TSU Arnold Chikobava Institute of Linguistics; Giorgi Alibegashvili, head of the State Language Department; and representatives of Georgian universities, research centers and agencies.
Tbilisi State University and the TSU Arnold Chikobava Institute of Linguistics organized the event.
