A workshop titled “How to Increase Employment Opportunities/HR.GE as a Facilitating Platform” was held for students at the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Vocational Education Center. Inga Shakhbaziani, the regional manager of HR.GE, and Ani Lobzhanidze, the human resources manager, led the workshop.
Levan Tsikaridze, head of the TSU Vocational Education Center, stated that student vocational and career development is one of the center’s main focuses. “Vocational programs provide theoretical and practical training so that graduates are ready for the labor market. However, we also ensure that students gain additional knowledge and skills for proper career planning and successful employment,” noted the center’s head. He added that the workshop, prepared in collaboration with a partner organization, focuses on CV preparation, interview readiness, identifying job openings that align with one’s education and professional experience, and career development.
The event was held within the framework of a memorandum signed between TSU and HR.GE. In the near future, students will be able to upload their resumes to a portal accessible to up to 30,000 employers via the university’s website.
Currently, approximately 400 students are enrolled in the TSU Vocational Education Center in Tbilisi and Kutaisi.
