Student Mini-Symposium on Current Issues in Applied Mathematics and Physics

 

On July 15, the Tbilisi International Center of Mathematics and Informatics (TICMI) Student Mini-Symposium on Current Issues in Applied Mathematics and Physics took place in the Ilia Vekua Auditorium at the Vekua Institute of Applied Mathematics at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU).

The mini-symposium opened with an introductory speech by the Director of the TSU Institute of Applied Mathematics and Chairman of the TICMI International Scientific Committee, Professor Giorgi Jaiani. The young attendees were welcomed by the TSU Institute of Applied Mathematics Chief Scientific Fellow and TSU Emeritus Professor Tamaz Vashakmadze and TSU Geophysics Institute Chief Scientific Fellow and TSU Associate Professor Oleg Kharshiladze.

11 reports were presented. At the end of the event, the Deputy Director of the Institute of Applied Mathematics and TICMI Manager, TSU Associate Professor Natalia Chinchaladze, as well as Professor Oleg Kharshiladze summarized the work of the mini-symposium. They presented all speakers with certificates of participation and souvenirs.
