Annual Tuition Fees Financed for 11Students TSU

Annual tuition fees were financed for 11 students of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU). The studies were financed on behalf of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi. “Students were selected based on their social status and academic performance. This kind of encouragement is very important for young people. I hope that it will contribute to their academic progress,” TSU Chancellor Lasha Saghinadze said at the meeting with students.

Gela Geladze, a representative of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi on the issues related to scholarships, noted that it is necessary to support next generations and, therefore, funding of students will continue further: “Student skills and knowledge are important for our country. The desire and decision of Archimandrite Ephraim, Abbot of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, will help them in their future development.”

Shota Photolashvili, Head of the TSU Learning Process Management Department, informed the students about the necessary procedures to receive the scholarship.

Archimandrite Ephraim, Abbot of the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, visited TSU on September 20 as part of his visit to Georgia. He met with students, donated books to TSU and pledged that the Holy Monastery would finance the studies of successful Georgian students.
