TSU Students at 2025 Harvard Summer School Sessions

Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University have signed a cooperation agreement that will enable TSU students from all three levels to participate in the 2025 sessions of Harvard Summer School.

Founded in 1871, Harvard Summer School (HSS) is the oldest academic summer program in the United States; its courses are taught by Harvard University faculty members, distinguished visiting scholars, and industry experts. The partnership between Harvard University’s Division of Continuing Education and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University offers students participating in the summer school the opportunity to build professional networks, support in obtaining a student visa, and other student benefits during and after their studies.

TSU students participating in the Harvard Summer School will receive academic credits that will be recognized by TSU. At the same time, credits accumulated during the summer school may be recognized by Harvard if the students subsequently enroll at Harvard University.

Within the framework of this cooperation program, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University is pleased to announce the preliminary selection of applicants for the Harvard Summer School 2025 program.

Tbilisi State University has allocated financial resources to support seven of the most distinguished students among the selected nominees in their participation in a three-week program. The university will cover the expenses related to tuition, on-campus accommodation (including the mandatory minimum package of meals and health insurance), and travel costs. It is noteworthy that Harvard’s Department of Continuing Education has such cooperative agreements with a mere 15 universities worldwide.
