Academician Jaba Samushia, the rector of Tbilisi State University, and Malkhaz Ujmajuridze, the director of the IGAL Consulting and Auditing Company, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
According to the agreement, the company IGAL will help TSU’s BA and MA students and graduates find professional practice, internship and employment opportunities, as well as develop their professional skills by completing various internship positions specified in the educational program. At least ten TSU students will intern at the company per year.
“Consolidating the theoretical knowledge gained at the university with practice is very important. Therefore, we welcome the opportunity to cooperate with a successful auditing company. This partnership will provide our students with the opportunity to develop the practical skills necessary to become professionals. The TSU Faculty of Economics and Business is the most successful in Georgia in this field. We are glad that our graduates and doctoral students are teaching at other institutions. This once again justifies one of TSU’s main missions - sharing knowledge and education,” said TSU Rector Jaba Samushia.
“We are very interested in our relationship with TSU. Our company has extensive experience in both the theoretical and practical aspects of the field. We are ready to support young people in advancing their careers. At the same time, we hope to employ successful individuals in the future, because finding good specialists in this field is difficult,” said Malkhaz Ujmajuridze, director of IGAL.
The memorandum also envisages cooperation in the fields of education and science.
The event was attended by Manana Lobzhanidze, the deputy dean of TSU’s Faculty of Economics and Business; academics, and representatives of IGAL.
IGAL has successfully operated in the Georgian market for over two decades. Since 2024, IGAL has been an official member and representative of the international company IR GLOBAL in Georgia.
