The basketball team of Tbilisi State University “TSU” is the champion of Georgia for the first time in the history of the Super League. TSU won the fifth game of the 2022-2023 final series in Rustavi against “Rustavi” 75:87 and won the series 3:2.
Giorgi Tsintsadze, a member of the TSU and the Georgian national team, was voted the best player of the season by sports journalists, Super League coaches, commissioners and referees, while Lexo Lapanashvili won the title of best coach of the season.
The current year has been successful for the TSU basketball team, which has won the two highest titles of the current season - the Georgian Cup and the Super League.
The Super League of the current season started on October 23, 2022, and ended on May 28, 2023 with the victory of the TSU team.
