Diplomas of Joint Doctoral Program of Four Universities Issued at TSU

 

The Rector of Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia signed graduation diplomas for the joint doctoral program of four universities in the field of “Educational Sciences”.

In addition to the Rector of TSU, the graduation diplomas were signed by the Rectors of Akaki Tsereteli State University, Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University.

“Our collaboration represents a significant opportunity for students. We will try to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and the joint implementation of innovations in the future. It would be interesting to explore the potential for similar initiatives in other domains,” said Jaba Samushia.

Since 2020, the joint doctoral educational program “Educational Sciences” of four universities has been operating at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Tbilisi State University. The program’s establishment was predicated on a shared aspiration to enhance the existing situation in the realm of education. Its objective is to cultivate researchers who are equipped to ground their scientific investigations in addressing the needs and challenges of the contemporary Georgian educational landscape. Additionally, drawing upon the insights and advancements of the global educational domain, these researchers will be capable of generating novel insights and contributing to the advancement of both the Georgian and international educational spheres.

Currently, there are 60 doctoral students enrolled in the doctoral program. To date, 14 students have successfully completed the joint doctoral program.
