TSU, Pomeranian University in Słupsk Sign Memorandum of Cooperation

Academician Jaba Samushia, the Rector of Tbilisi State University, and Zbigniew Osadowski, the Rector of the Pomeranian University in Słupsk, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. As part of this agreement, the two universities will establish the Słupsk Dispute Resolution Center with the help of the TSU National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution.

The Center will promote the development of dispute resolution mechanisms and develop the practical, clinical, and professional skills of academic and dispute resolution specialists.

TSU Rector Jaba Samushia noted that, as part of the center's operations, cooperation between the universities will deepen further. “With the signing of the memorandum, our cooperation will advance to a new level. Based on this cooperation, we will promote student internships and exchange programs for professors and young scientists. We will also work together to develop training courses in dispute resolution and to promote clinical legal education,” Samushia said.

“I am glad that our universities have a long-standing partnership, which has resulted in annual joint conferences, a joint journal, and now a dispute resolution center,” said Zbigniew Osadowski, the Rector of the Pomeranian University in Słupsk.

As part of the memorandum, the institutions will leverage the intellectual and institutional resources of the TSU National Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution to support student internships, faculty and young scientist exchange programs, as well as the development of training courses in dispute resolution and the promotion of clinical legal education.
