Rector of Tbilisi State University, Academician Jaba Samushia met with young scholars from TSU who are beneficiaries of the mobility and research promotion program of TSU and the University of Texas (USA) at Dallas (UT Dallas).
The meeting focused on the importance of mobility programs and opportunities to enhance professional knowledge.
“Communication and cooperation with foreign colleagues is very important for your professional growth. We will support you as much as possible in any initiative that will contribute to your professional growth,” Rector Samushia addressed the TSU students.
Challenges in teaching and practice of natural sciences were also discussed at the meeting. The participants focused on the future prospects that will contribute to the development of the field in Georgia and TSU.
The mobility program is a partnership between Tbilisi State University and the University of Texas to strengthen the research potential in Georgia. Six students benefited from the program last year, all of whom are pursuing doctoral degrees in various scientific fields.
Students from other universities also have the opportunity to join the program. At this time, applications are being accepted for the second intake of students.
