Jaba Samushia Holds Working Meeting with Representatives of Astria Learning

 

Tbilisi State University Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia held a working meeting with Jeff Bordes, the CEO of the U.S. company Astria Learning, and other company representatives. They discussed promoting online learning and offering educational programs and certificate courses remotely to young people from around the world.  

 

Astria Learning is an AI-powered e-learning provider that helps universities around the world implement online learning. This enables higher education institutions to make learning more accessible and scalable and reach students anywhere in the world.

 

Rector Jaba Samushia discussed the benefits of online learning and incorporating modern technology into the educational process. “It is important for Tbilisi State University to use modern educational technologies, which make education more accessible. This is our future,” he said.

 

According to Jeff Bordes, the CEO of Astria Learning, digital learning has eliminated geographical barriers. He noted that Tbilisi State University has the potential to compete globally, adding that online learning and modern technology should be used to improve access to education.

 

The participants discussed the positive aspects and challenges of teaching educational programs and certificate courses online, as well as the issues of international accreditation and the strategy for attracting international students. They also discussed future cooperation with Astria Learning.

 

TSU Chancellor Lasha Saghinadze, Deputy Rector Erekle Astakhishvili and TSU Administration representatives attended the meeting.
