The public school in Tokhliauri village has officially been named after Varlam Cherkezishvili, which will further strengthen public respect for and awareness of his legacy.

In his speech at the event, Rector Samushia emphasized Varlam Cherkezishvili’s contributions, noting that he was one of the most outstanding figures in the development of Georgian history and public thought in the 19th and 20th centuries: “Varlam Cherkezishvili was a person whose work went beyond the realm of politics or writing — he was a staunch advocate for national identity, democratic principles, and social justice.
