External Quality Assurance

External quality assurance implies the periodic assessment of current teaching, learning and research at the university, as well as the third mission of the university (contributing to the development of society) and institutional effectiveness, and promoting its improvement by the Quality Assurance Agency. This also implies transparency and accountability of the university to internal and external stakeholders. External quality assurance in Georgia is conducted by the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement (eqe.ge) through authorization and accreditation. Authorization involves the institutional evaluation of the university, while accreditation involves the evaluation of educational programs.
