New Academic Year at TSU Vocational Education Center

 

The Rector of TSU, Academician Jaba Samushia, the Deputy Rector Kakhaber Cheishvili, the Head of TSU Vocational Education Center Levan Tsikaridze and the program managers congratulated students on the commencement of the new academic year at the Vocational Education Center of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.

Rector Jaba Samushia discussed the significance of vocational education and the advancement of the center. The Rector extended his utmost support to the students in the pursuit of career advancement.

Approximately 400 students will study in 16 vocational programs in Tbilisi and Kutaisi.

In 2024, the TSU Vocational Education Center introduced new vocational programs for those seeking to gain expertise in a specific profession. Two new programs were launched in Tbilisi, and four new programs were introduced in Kutaisi. In the current academic year, the Center has accepted students into the following programs in Tbilisi and Kutaisi: Accounting, Preschool Education, Customs Study, Financial Services, Library Work, Nursing Education, Front End Development, and Freight Transportation/Logistics.

 

More than 2,000 applicants were registered for the 2024 intake. About 400 students include people of different ages and professions who want to master a new profession.

Vocational education programs have been implemented at TSU since 2007. All vocational programs are fully funded by the state.
