Success of TSU Doctoral Students

 

Doctoral students of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University (TSU) continue to lead in the state grant competition announced by Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation to provide financial support to doctoral students. A total of 38 winning projects were announced in 2023 with 18 projects (47% of the winning projects) presented by PhD students from TSU.
 

The purpose of the competition is to identify talented young researchers and support them in conducting their doctoral studies in accordance with modern international standards, to create appropriate conditions for scientific research, to ensure cooperation between doctoral students and higher education and research institutions abroad, and thus to raise the quality of higher education in Georgia.

The call is open to doctoral students in the following scientific fields: Exact and Natural Sciences; Engineering and Technology; Medicine and Health; Agricultural Sciences; Social Sciences; Humanities; Georgian Studies.   

Last year, 35 of the 98 winning projects (35% of the winning projects) were submitted by TSU doctoral students.
