International Conference Dedicated to World Philosophy Day

An interdisciplinary international conference dedicated to World Philosophy Day was held at Tbilisi State University.

As part of the event, a regional student conference was held in honor of the 220th birth anniversary of Solomon Dodashvili (1805-1836), the founder of the Georgian school of philosophy, educator, logician, journalist, prose writer, literary historian, teacher, public and political figure.

TSU Rector, Academician Jaba Samushia addressed the guests and participants of the conference, speaking about Dodashvili's contributions and patriotism.

“Solomon Dodashvili was a great person and patriot who, at a very young age, played an important role in our country’s history. His letters are especially important, where he repeatedly notes that the introduction and development of the European model in our education and science is of utmost importance,” noted Jaba Samushia.
