Project SQUARE on the Rectors’ Standing Conference

On July 7-8, 2021, the Rectors’ Standing Conference was held in Batumi, Batumi State University. The Rectors’ Standing Conference of Georgia was founded in July 2019, shares the fundamental principles of the Magna Charta Universitatum, is the platform where rectors are discussing the challenges of higher education. Rectors and representatives of more than 30 accredited HEIs of Georgia participated in the 2021 conference.

 

Coordinator of the ERASMUS+ project, SQUARE, Dr. Irma Grdzelidze, the head of the TSU Quality Assurance Office Service disseminated the information regarding the project at the rector’s standing conference. Dr. Irma Grdzelidze discussed the third mission as the integral role of the universities, presented the needs analyses, based on which the project idea was developed, as well as project overview – aims and objectives, goals, partners, activities, etc.

 

The participants of the meeting noted the contribution the project will make to the Georgian HE, as well as the society as a whole. The presentation was intended to disseminate the information and spread the word regarding third mission activities and the project SQUARE.
